Jacob Jensen was one of them.

He was born in 1926 in Vesterbro, a district of Copenhagen in Denmark. After a demanding four-year apprenticeship as an upholsterer in his father's business, he spent three years at the School of Applied Art. He then joined the design studio of the industrial designer Sigvard Bernadotte – brother of Queen Ingrid – and his partner Acton Bjørn. Just three years later, in 1954, Jensen became head of the studio at "Bernadotte & Bjørn".

In 1958, Jacob Jensen founded his own successful and highly regarded design studio. From 1963, he worked there for clients including Bang & Olufsen, for whom he designed well-known hi-fi components such as the Beogram 4000 turntable (1972), the Beolit 400 portable radio (1971), the Beomaster 1200 receiver (1970) and the Beovox 2500 speakers (1967).

The boy from Copenhagen became a designer of international renown who, as the New York Times wrote in 1978 on the occasion of the MoMA exhibition "Bang & Olufsen – Design for Sound by Jacob Jensen", deserved "a place among the great industrial designers of the 20th century".

A growing family business since 1958

Jensen's design studio has also grown into a family business, run by his son Timothy since 1990. It is an outstanding example of the precision and functionality for which all Jacob Jensen products are known. With its classic Jacob Jensen design, this essential safety feature for your home even adds to its aesthetic appeal.
The Smoke Alarm is a visual smoke detector that reacts quickly to all forms of visible smoke—including smoke from smoldering fires. An integrated microprocessor is programmed to recalibrate the smoke sensor’s sensitivity daily, ensuring optimal smoke detection.
The smoke detector is equipped with an audible and visual alarm that emits a loud signal in the event of a fire. Additionally, the signal is activated if the battery power is low, technical malfunctions occur, or cleaning is required.
A red test button in the center of the device serves, among other things, as a visual indicator that all functions are working properly. The test button can also be used to reduce smoke sensitivity for 10 minutes to prevent false alarms.
The smoke detector comes in a gift box, including a ceiling mount and installation kit (screws and anchors). The appropriate battery is already installed.
//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0959/1760/5208/files/Jacob-Jensen-Rauchmelder-optisch-10-cm-silber.jpg?v=1780598182
jacob-jensen-thermo-doppelwandglas
Jacob Jensen - Double-pane insulated glass

Elegantly Designed Coffee Enjoyment in Three Sizes
Jacob Jensen ’s coffee glass combines functional thermal insulation with delicate aesthetics.
