They soon realised that they shared a passion for Nordic wood, clear Scandinavian design and professional woodworking, and began making wooden furniture together. The furniture was a great success, but they soon noticed that customers were missing something important. At the time, there were no matching wooden lights for minimalist Scandinavian furniture. Inspired by this idea, they created the conical Secto 4200 pendant light, laying the foundation for their company, Secto. \u003c\/p\u003e \u003cp\u003eBack then, the Secto 4200 pendant light was a genuine innovation. It took a great deal of time and effort to find a joiner able to make Secto lights in large quantities while maintaining the quality of the craftsmanship. Today, more than 20 people work at the Secto factory in Heinola in Finland. The wooden light and its soft glow remain a real success on the lighting market. In the early 2000s, the founders of Secto Design therefore decided to focus solely on lamps and gave up the furniture collection. \u003c\/p\u003e \u003cp\u003eThe success of the Secto lamp also has its downside. Every light that leaves the factory in Heinola carries a hologram sticker to help customers tell the original from a copy.
