After last year’s anniversary “60 years Design Council – 60 years design culture”, the German Design Award goes into the next round in 2014. The Design Council chose winners for the different areas “Gold”, “Winner”, “Special Mention” and “Nominee”. The “Newcomer” prize honoured the new ones among this year’s designers.
The jury of 30 people honoured many extraordinary products and communication designs in 10 competition categories. One part-jury of renowned experts was responsible to test the quality of the products and projects in every discipline. They named nominations, gave special mentions and chose ten “Winners” out of them finally the whole jury chose one “Gold” winner for each category.
