Claydies is the Danish design pair Tine Broksø (born 1971) and Karen Kjældgård-Larsen (born 1974). Both started their careers in the Danish Design School in Copenhagen. Their friendship already started when they were students, and after they graduated from college in 2000, they started up their own business named ‘Claydies’.
The name represents also a programme of the two ladies, because ‘clay’ stands for their preference to clay, with which they create almost everything. If it’s a bicycle helmet, a swimming coffee cup, or the crazy grass vase for the Danish manufacturer Normann Copenhagen, which already made it until the MoMa- Store: We can be curious about what the both ‘Claydies’ will create next.
