Clemens Weisshaar was born in Munich in 1977. After an apprenticeship as metal worker he studied at the London Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design and the Royal College of Art.
After three years as assistant of Konstantin Grcic, he founded his own office in the year 2000. He advises Rem Koolhaas’ research office AMO in industrial design questions and works at projects that reach from exposition architecture to product design advice now.
Clemens Weisshaar lives and works in Munich and Stockholm. In 2002 Weisshaar founded the Kram/Weisshaar office as platform for multidisciplinary works, together with Reed Kram (born in 1971 in Ohio). The office focuses on design of rooms, products and media from Munich and Stockholm. The latest products of Kram /Weisshaar: Design and Realization of media concepts and media installations for the Rem Koolhaas designed PRADA Epicenter Store in Beverly Hills, an interactive installation for the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris, Software to visualize complex data structure for the BMW group and PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Masterplan and exposition architecture for “The Design Annual” in Frankfurt, programs and interfaces for Merten and furniture for Moroso and Classicon.
The work of Kram/Weisshaar are part of the collections of the Vitra Design Museum in Weil am Rhein, the new collection, Munich and the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris.
