The name “Giovannoni” is known by design enthusiasts. But it is important not to think of Stefano Giovannoni instead – since his wife Elisa also moves unstoppably in the design world.
Elisa Giovannoni was born in the North Italian city Pordenone. The industrial and interior designer is Stefano Giovannoni’s wife and she already worked for many companies like Alessi, Magis and Millefiori. She also teaches at the Domus Academy and the Politecnico di Milan.
The designs of the Italian are characterized by versatile utility. During summer holidays when the family had only few things in their bags, Giovannoni had the idea of the Domenica collection. It represents Elisa Giovannoni’s ideals perfectly: few utensils that make other objects unnecessary because of their high utility. Essential utensils that are equally useful in the kitchen or on the table complete the Domenica collection.
