Design subordinated to the function
Fanny Rognone graduated as architect from the École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris. While studying in Paris, she discovered her passion for contemporary design and a fondness for functional furniture. Her studies were completed by one year at the Polytechnic in Milan where she worked and collaborated in the development of a number of objects.
Meanwhile, Fanny is a happy mother and as inhabitant of a medium-sized city apartment she is constantly faced, like so many others, with the lack of space for her growing family.
Through her efforts of space optimization, the Speedoletto Stacking Bed for de Breuyn was created. It is an alternative to the classic bunk beds at which the lines and the individual elements of the designs are subordinated to the function.
