Successful Danish Designer
Finn Næss-Schmidt is a Danish designer who can look back on a career of more than 45 years. He started his professional career in the 1960s as a porcelain painter at the royal porcelain manufacturer Royal Copenhagen, where was responsible for the design of the high-quality tableware as head of product development. The Dane also worked for other well-known manufacturers, such as Georg Jensen or Stelton, but remained loyal to Royal Copenhagen until his retirement.
His almost playful, classic design has always been found in the form of dishes, table decoration or Christmas decoration. His Christmas objects are particularly well-known and still arouse great interest today, providing for a festive atmosphere.
