Foster + Partners is one of the most innovative offices for architecture and integrated design practices of the world. The studio, founded by the famous architect Sir Norman Foster, works interdisciplinary.
Since its foundation in 1967, Foster + Partners worked in order to encourage sustainable design approaches; The whole spectrum of ground plans up to furniture should come out of one hand, in order to reach a perfect harmony and formal timelessness. According to the surrounding, Foster + Partners designs individual solutions that are often reached with the most modern technology. By the approach of “integrated design”, creative and engineers work together from the beginning of every new project, in order to combine their knowledge and to design intelligent, sustainable solutions.
During over more than four decades, Foster + Partners continuously offered pioneers’ work in different disciplines, so that the studio is able to connect design solutions and architecture today as hardly another is. Since the foundation, Foster + Partners won over 600 awards and received more than 100 invitations to awards. The studio is based in London and has subsidiaries all over the world.
The red dot design museum in the ancient boiler house of the Zeche tariff union in Essen, Germany, the Commerzbank Tower in Frankfurt am Main, the conversion of the Reichstag in Berlin (accessible glass cupola), the London City Hall or the reconstruction of the Wembley Stadium in London count to the most famous architecture projects of the office. Since the beginning of the 21st century, F+P especially realized architecture projects in the United Arab Emirates.
