Gabriel Nigro was born in Montevideo (Uruguay) in 1974. The Danish- Argentina designer lives in Copenhagen today, where he works in marketing and publicity branches.
Nigro grew up in a creative parent’s house. As a child, Gabirel Nigro already spent many hours near the drawing-board of his father and watched his mother’s pottery. These child-like experiences inspired Nigros works and also helped him by designing his initial-piece for Normann Copenhagen – the cable holder Woofy.
”Woofy accorded to my own demands. It always annoyed me, that cables lied all around on the way. That is why I designed Woofy. I believe that everything you buy for your home should fulfil more than pure functionality – and that is what Woofy does. The dog is humans’ best friend. It protects you and your family, and a dog spreads positive values. Woofy is a great cable holder, a cool object in every room and a piece of furniture that can be used in the office, the children’s room and the living room. But for me, Woofy is, in first instance, a lovingly, happy dog and my friend."Gabriel Nigro
