Giovanni Alessi Anghini was born in Milan in 1981. After his first studies in Italy and Switzerland, he started a career at the Università degli Studi in Florence. There he especially concentrated on subjects such as sociology, anthropology and cultural science.
The great-grandchild of the company founder Giovanni Alessi comes back to Milan in 2002, where he wants to make use of his social and cultural knowledge in industrial design. In the following years Anghini worked together with companies such as Alessi, Philips, Vitra, Versace and Foreverlamp gaining experience as employee in the companies as well as freelance for his own studio GAA Design Farm, which he founded in 2006.
The work of the Italian was meanwhile awarded several times; already the first project by Anghini “Pop-Up” was honoured with the Good Design Award in 2008 and the included in the permanent exposition of the Arts and Architecture Museum in Chicago (The Chicago Athenaeum). A new adventure starts in 2011, orientated by the understanding of oriental arts; Giovanni Alessi Anghini decided to place his projects between the Lago Maggiore and Asia.
