After Gitta Gschwendtner graduated at the Royal College of Art in 1998, she founded her owd design studio in London. She works at diverse projects from product and exposition design as well as whole installations since then.
An intensive research is the initialization of every Gitta Schwendtner’s projects, so that the developed solution at the end is just adapted to the customer’s demands. The design is thereby constantly oriented to the best problem solution strategies and not that much to the most spectacular apparent possibilities: the form follows function here. The speciality at the design lies inside, in the character of the products.
She designed the Plant Cup for the English manufacturer Thorsten van Elten. Furthermore she already worked together with namely clients such as the British Council, Crafts Council, Design Museum DuPont Corian, Geffrye Museum, Habitat, Innermost, Mathmos, Peugeot, Purves & Purves, Royal College of Art, Science Museum, Sony, Twentytwentyone, Victoria and Albert Museum and Wellcome Trust.
