Mike Meiré, born in 1964, works and lives with his wife and three children in Cologne. He founded the agency Meiré & Meiré together with his brother Marc in 2001, as well as the culture production NEO NOTO.
As a routine frontier commuter between disciplines, Mike Meiré continuously changes bezween the positions of the brand and art director, the designer and the curator. Some of his most important Editorial projects are the multiple awarded science magazine brand eins, the architecture magazine ARCH+, the re-design or the Neue Züricher Zeitung (NZZ), the international culture magazine 032c as well as GARAGE, Dasha Zhukova’s Art and Fashion Magazine.
Meiré is responsible for the communication of the fittings company Dornbracht and its culture projects since more than 20 years now. As designer and curator he realizes projects that focus on cultural themes of brands in the contexz of arts, architecture, fashion, music and design.
This is how he developed and curated the project Dornbtacht Culture Projects and he realized some contributions such as the 2001 Energetic Recovery System, 2008 Noises for Ritual Architecture, 2009 the exposition Global Street Food (exposition Vitra Museum, Buckminster Fulelr Dome), 2011 Back Room or 2006-2010 The Farm Project, which was presented in the Art Basel/ Design Miami, sculptures projects Munster 07 and in the design museum Eindhoven among others (publication in the Walter König editorial).
The first catalogue “DAY IN / DAY OUT” about Meirés free artistic works (Gallery BarthaContemporary, London) emerged 2010, the monograph 25 Years Editorial Design Mike Meiré appeared in 2011 in the Birkhäuser editorial.
