Jan Egeberg and Morten Thing finished their apprenticeship of industrial design at the Arts Academy in Copenhagen in 1989. It is easily recognizable that both designers come from the same school by their design understanding. Since Egeberg and Thing agree that functionality shouldn’t ever be left behind by the aim of beautiful designs. They can be inspired by the function and often emerges form as product of function.
Jan Egeberg and Morten Thing are very fixed on functionality, and this is not for nothing, it is mirrored on their versatile design products that impress with their utility again and again. Both work with the most different products – from furniture up to medicine measuring instruments. Jan Egeberg and Morten Thing both of them received Danish and international design awards independently. Both are represented in the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
