The name reveals it all: the designers of nachacht (aftereight in English) work at night. The Berlin design trio meets after work, developing their own collection.
The automobile designers Julian Jaede and Mark Bergold started to meet after work in 2007. Both creative heads came together in order to develop their own design approaches. The trio was completed in 2008 when Martin Schmid came to them and the three of them still meet in workshops after a day full of work in the office.
The three designers are characterized by the processing of wood as core of their products and by the use of coloured metal to connect the single pieces. The constant part of the design makes it possible to combine the furniture pieces of nachacht. The name of the company is as humorous as the furniture pieces they make: “Stammtisch” (regular table) or “Hutfänger” (hat catcher) are only some of their products.
