Designerin Paola Suhonen

Paola Ivana Suhonen is a Helsinki born designer, fashion designer and movie maker. The Finnish is inspired by dark landscapes, Nordic legends and western romanticism.

Paola Suhonen mainly works for her fashion label Ivana Helsinki. The family business focusses on exclusivity and quality: only unique specimen and small series are produced, all knitting goods come from Finland and Lapland. Ivana Helsinki was the first Scandinavian fashion label that participated at the Paris Fashion Week and it was part of numerous projects where fashion, design and arts were combined.

The connection of different interests is also mirrored in Suhonen’s curriculum: She graduated in Arts and Design at the University Helsinki and also studied at the awarded American Film Institute. Ivana Suhonen doesn’t only create fashion, but also movies and design products for international companies. The Finnish multi-talent cares for the mixture of past and present: this is proven by Suhonen’s connection of tasteful, detailed refinement with contemporaneous, clear charm.

Among the companies Suhonen worked for in product development and print and concept design are Head Snowboards, Google, Swarowski, Coca-Cola, Canon, Artek, Amnesty International, Jalo and many more.
