Robert Ward

The American Robert Ward is one of both founders of Award Associates and leader of the company.

Robert Ward studied applied arts in Chicago and learned the tradition of silver-smithy in Navaho-Indian-Reservoir in Arizona.

In 1979 he came to Germany, where he began an apprenticeship to become arts restaurateur and graduated studying object design.

Origin, life and apprenticeship stations still influence his thinking and working approach sustainably. He works as a freelance since 1987.

In 1998 he founded the design office Award Associates together with Dr. Martina Ward. In the last years Robert Ward specialized on design concepts for museums and expositions, scene-graphic installations, holistic presentation design, exposition stands, film, graphic and interior design.

From 2002 to 2004 Robert Ward was a guest professor for expositions and presentation design in the specialized area Design at the University for Design in Munster.
