In a creative cooperation between Holmegaard and the Danish artist and florist Claus Dalby, a perfect mix of timeless but at the same time modern design is originated: Old English, a vase series made of clear glass which combines the best of Danish glass art with the English garden tradition in a perfect vase design. The goal of this cooperation was to create a vase and flower bowl series which expresses the unmistakable Holmegaard style that prioritises flowers and makes them easy to decorate.
The Old English Vase is available in two sizes which suits both tied flower bouquets and loose flower bouquets. The slender waist of the vase holds the flowers together and in the lower part of the vase is enough space for the flower stems. The flowers are supported by the wide, rounded opening and even opulent flower bouquets remain elegantly in shape.
The Old English Flower Bowl mirrors the gentle lines and soft curves of the vase and refers to the elements of the classic amphora lines. Flower Bowl is a classic of the British flower tradition. Placing single blossoms in elegant flower bowls make them swimming eye-catchers. Moreover, this is particularly suitable whenever one only likes to bring a touch of the blooming garden beauties into your home. With only one or two roses placed in the Old English Flower Bowl, a blooming highlight can be created on every table. Nevertheless, goodies like fine pastries or fresh fruits also find a stylish place in here.
The Old English Vases (H: 19 cm and 24 cm) and the Flower Bowls (Ø: 19 cm and 25 cm) are each available in two sizes.
