Piana Stuhl von Alessi und David Chipperfield

After Alessi made its mark with accessories, dishes, kitchen equipment, bathroom-series, etc. in the past 90 years, the Italian company has completely broken new ground: in cooperation with Lamm and the designer / architect David Chipperfield, Alessi developed a folding chair named Piana.

Piana Klappstuhl von AlessiPiana possesses a simple design with transparent and straight forms and contrasting other, numerous chairs, this one is completely flat folded. This folding mechanism is possible because of the Piana construction. Piana only rotates around one firm point that holds the chair with two screws. The space saving chair is made out of recycled polypropylene and fibreglass and offered by Alessi in several colours.
