After a report from the online edition from the magazine ”Schöner Wohnen” (live more beautiful), the Finnish manufacturer Artek equipped the bookshop „do you read me?!“ with furniture and lamps.
With the furnishing of the bookshop, Artek once again follows Alvar Aalto’s footsteps, who wasn’t only a co-founder of the company in his time, but also furnished numerous libraries, universities and other buildings. In the Berlin library “do you read me?!” you will now not only find the Stool 60 and the ”Billberry” pendant lamp from Alvar Aalto, but also the Sedia 1 Chair from Enzo Mari.
The “do you read me?!” bookshop with the subtitle “Contemporary magazines and reading” does not only offer a shop, but also a reading room which should be a ”Place for lecturers, expositions, discussions and all still dormant ideas and projects”. The bookshop is connected with Artek by the selection of books that also include design, arts and architecture.
