A new seal of approval offers orientation in the consumer goods market: The initiative LifeCare awarded products that really are consumers-friendly and that fall out of the price competition with their qualities in this year. The Home & Trend Award was offered in cooperation with the Frankfurt fair on the yesterday ended Design fair Tendence.
Elvang Denmark manufactures covers and cushions out of Peruvian alpaca wool and was honored with the special prize International “all-embracing support of rural regions in Peru”. Side by Side produces its products out of regional wood in workshops for handicapped people, among others in the Caritas Wendelstein Workshop. The company received the special prize National for their social engagement and sustainable approach.
The Home & Trend Award honors consumer fair products and concepts out of the furnishing area. It was created by LifeCare. LifeCare is an independent initiative that has the aim of encouraging quality, innovation and design of products as well as improving life quality noticeably. Manufacturers out of bath & wellness, garden & leisure, furniture & room design as well as home textiles and decoration could present themselves for the Home & Trend Award.
The experts’ judge of a top-class jury of quality, innovation and design followed a consumers request. Especially innovation, product utility, ergonomics and ecology/sustainability and care of resources counted here. Furthermore two companies were honored for their social engagement.
