The Vitra Design Museum in Weil am Rhein presents the radical and revolutionary future visions of Verner Panton of the year 1970 with the title „Visiona 2 - Revisiting the Future“ from the 7th of January 2014 until the 1st of June 2014.
So to say as exposition of the exposition is how the Vitra Design Museum concentrates on the Verner Panton made home landscapes, on order of the Bayer AG in 1970. Floors, walls, ceilings and edges out of organically formed upholstery formations, through psychedelic blue and red tones, sounds and scents, melt to one big rooms: Panton broke all traditional architectural concepts! The “Fantasy Landscape” of Verner Panton created home caves for the Visiona 2, becoming one of the most important installations of the second halve of the 20th century. The exposition in the Vitra Design Museum Gallery shows a true to the original, accessible re-construction of it, fulfilled by a view of the backstage of Panton’s “Visiona” project.
