The Italian manufacturer Lamm exists since 1959. Since then Lamm was and is still part of an important development for the Italian brand “Made in Italy”. Lamm focuses on the research and development of new and innovative materials. Important building blocks of the company’s philosophy also are safety, quality and ecologic consciousness.
Lamm especially created furniture for schools, hospitals and ships in the 60s. Cooperation with numerous international companies followed in the 70s. The company specialized on seating systems for offices and common rooms in the 80s and continuously expanded its activity fields since then. After armrest chairs for conference rooms, seating furniture for cinemas and theatres followed.
Lamm developed the Alessichair concept together with the Italian design-master Alessi in 2011. Lamm produces the folding chair Piana today, which was designed by Alessi together with David Chipperfield.
