Floral patterns inspired by winter
The Hyhmä pattern by designer Aino-Maija Metsola is a tribute to the icy frost in winter. The focus is on frozen blossoms, flowers and leaves, which have been painted with delicate watercolors such as blue, yellow and red. They literally drift around in a wintry breeze and thus ensure a dynamic expression in the design. This is used on numerous home textiles such as pillowcases and towels from Marimekko as well as on stoneware dishes such as cups and plates.
