Traditional Crafts & Scandinavian Design

The Nepal Project is a collaboration between Menu, various design studios and local craftsmen companies in Nepal. The aim is to create new jobs for women with fair working conditions and to help the local craftsmanship.

Nepal Projects grew from our desire to use Menu as a platform for making a positive difference. Many young Nepali women from poor families risk being lured into prostitution. Through education of children and employment of young women we offer a sound and viable alternative. The Nepal Projects is our way to celebrate great craftsmanship, while helping vulnerable workers secure a better future for themselves and their families. Handmade Design from Nepal

The 4 Design Studio Norm Architects, Note Design Studio, Afteroom, and A hint of Neon have joined forces to create - in cooperation with Nepalese craftsmen - a collection with exclusive, handmade designs for Menu.
Quality products that bridge the gap between traditional handicraft and the aesthetics of minimalist Scandinavian are created in cooperation with local tailors, weavers and carpenters.

The Nepal Collection by Menu includes various accessories and textiles that delight with a reduced Scandinavian design and high quality.
