Retap was founded at the end of 2009 as a Scandinavian company by four experienced and hard-working businessmen with the aim of substituting PET bottles and plastic cups with reusable drinking bottles.
More than 15 million tonnes of plastic waste are produced every year, the biggest part of which are plastic bottles. Recycling it requires the same amount of oil as the energy consumption of a million cars,
without including the water bottle's own transport. In contrast to resultless green-going debates, Retap offers a practical solution.
The young company offers a sustainable alternative product for plastic bottles and cups - with its water bottles.
Retap relies on conscious, healthy, and environmentally friendly drinking of water, without compromising on design and style. By the way: Retap is an acronym for "refill - tap water." Because the environmentally-friendly bottle should be filled with local tap water which has not only excellent quality in this country, but demands 2,000 times less energy from nature than still water from the supermarket. In addition, if you repeatedly use PET bottles, it risks the release of pollutants into the water.
