Stiletto develops and distributes extravagant and intelligent lights, for example the “Glühwürmchen” (firefly), but also objects with the title “Geistesgegenstände und Geistesgegenlicht” (Mind objects and Mind Backlighting). All articles of the brand "Stiletto" bear designations that suggest great creativity on the part of the designer, but not always on the article itself.
The artist and design anachronist Frank Schreiner (* 1959) studied Visual Communication at the HdK Berlin and Fine Arts at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf. There, he became a master pupil of his professor Nam June Paik.
Frank Schreiner has been working on behalf of his art brand “Stiletto Studios” —which is heavily influenced by the Berlin metropolis—since 1981, but keeping in mind his own maxim: “You don’t have to drill a hole into something where there already is one.”
Frank Schreiner founded the “Design Hospital” in 1991.
