Armchair by Jaime Hayon
The Fri armchair was developed by Spanish designer Jaime Hayon in collaboration with Fri tz Hansen. The aim was to design a comfortable seating option that encourages togetherness with others in the room and helps to create a pleasant and open atmosphere. The Fri armchair is manufactured by Fri tz Hansen to the highest standards of quality and workmanship. The result is a functional and aesthetically pleasing armchair that is an eye-catcher in any setting.
Fri means free
Fri creates its own space to relax, yet it doesn't convey a sense of absence. Unlike most armchairs, Fri encourages awareness of the environment and interaction. " Fri " means "free" in Danish - this name was chosen because it creates an openness in the room, which creates a feeling of freedom.
Colours and base
The comfortable armchair is available in various colours. The legs are colour-coordinated with the upholstered seat shell and are either powder-coated or brushed. Each leg stands on nylon glides that are compatible with almost all floor coverings.
The chair's round design is simple, elegant and pleasing to the eye and body. Fri is designed to create a comforting feel in any setting. Of course, it takes more than one armchair to create a full ambience, but with Fri the first step towards an extraordinary atmosphere is already taken.
The upholstered armchair is also available with a leather cover on request.
