Which pinboard suits you best?
There is a wide choice of boards: whiteboards, magnetic boards, memo boards and flip charts. But which model suits you best? Whiteboards have the advantage that you can write on them again and again. This makes it easy to leave your loved ones a quick message in the morning or jot down which supplies need restocking. Many whiteboards have a magnetic surface so that you can attach magnets. However, whiteboards are fairly plain and tend to belong to office supplies rather than home accessories. A magnetic board is more versatile. It is available in a wide variety of patterns, and thanks to this versatility, magnetic boards suit any interior concept. Stainless steel magnetic boards are popular. If you prefer something more unusual, go for a felt model, such as the one by Menu.
The most classic version of a memo board is the cork pinboard, but it is also available in other materials. Boards coated with chalkboard film are popular. As with a whiteboard, you can write reminders on them and wipe them off again. Many boards are magnetic or have an elastic band that you can tuck a memo under.
Pinboard 2.0 – cork with a difference
Cork pinboards are back in fashion. For a long time, they had a reputation for being staid and boring – unfairly, we think. A good example of how unusual and modern pinboards can look is the world map pinboard by Luckies. Designed to look like a map of the world, it is a guaranteed eye-catcher in any room. Why not use your pinboard as an alternative to picture frames? Together with eye-catching pins, it lets you show off your photos and postcards.
