The J77 is part of the chair collection that was originally produced by FDB and re-edited by Hay: A classic chair in Danish design, which is absolutely timeless.
Folke Pålsson designed his J77 Chair in the middle of the last century: He based his design on the traditional Windsor chairs, which were already very popular in the 18th century. In order to bring the Windsor chair to modern times, the Dane reduced the design to a minimum, without losing sight of its classic virtues.
The production out of beech wood and the slender shape of the bars on the backrest make the J77 look light yet sturdy at the same time. The wide seat ensures comfort, whilst the classic minimalistic design means it can easily be integrated into different environments.
