The Essence red wine glasses were designed in the year 2001 as a part of a complete drinking glasses range from Alfredo Häberli for the Finnish design manufacturer Iittala.
The Essence drinking glasses were designed with a simple base idea. With as little as possible different glasses, Alfredo Häberli wanted to serve noble wines in still suitable and correct glasses. The Essence glasses from Iittala represent an overwhelming example for a thoughtful design.
When they stand next to each other, they give a wonderful warm feeling of balance. That is because shaft and foot have the same dimensions at every glass and its cups possess similar proportions. The glasses are easy to handle and lie well in the hand – there is the suspicion that the enjoyment of the noble wines gets higher with this precious glasses.
The Essence glasses are dishwasher adapted.
