Table lamp with patented optical solution
The Emi LED table lamp from Flos embodies the fusion of technology and quality from the professional sector with the world of lighting for private and gastronomic use. With Flos 's own technology, a series of luminaires with compact dimensions is created, equipped with a patented glare-free optical unit. The Emi has been designed around the Light Shadow optical concept from Flos . The light is emitted from very deep cones so that the light source is not visible. In fact, the light comes from the lamp, which seems almost paradoxical.
"The light modules give the light its triangular nature, which is reflected throughout the design. The main section, pole and stands all share this shape to create a cohesive and visually balanced structure. We found it interesting to replace the usual logic of rectangular geometry with a purely triangular approach. Triangles offer many structural properties with minimal use of materials and they reinvent the usual geometry by playing with perspective in a special way." Erwan Bouroullec
