Glowing ball as a table lamp
In 1998 Jasper Morrison designed the Glo-Ball series by the Italian lighting manufacturer Flos . In addition to the Glo-Ball Basic shown here, the series also includes the Glo-Ball table lamp and Mini Glo-Ball table lamp, the Glo-Ball pendant lamp and the Glo-Ball floor lamp.
The striking globular luminaire bodies shine in an atmospheric, diffuse light.

- Technical description: Diffuser consisting of hand-blown opal glass with an etched outer surface and a cover ring with thread made of die-cast aluminum alloy, galvanized with alodine. Base consisting of a 30% glass fiber reinforced, injection-molded polyamide element and the diffuser bracket made of die-cast, gray-painted aluminum alloy.
