Coffee cup with heart
With great attention to detail, designer Alexander Girard created the popular Love Heart motif, which now adorns various textiles and accessories in the Vitra collection.
As a textile designer Alexander Girard created over 300 different graphics for the furniture company Herman Miller. In addition, he was also successfully active as a furniture, exhibition and interior designer. Among other things, he designed menu cards, napkins and tableware for the restaurant La Fonda del Sol. This vast world was the starting point for the Home Complements collection, for which, Vitra in collaboration with the Girard family, a number of motifs have been selected to bring them to life on home accessories and textiles.
The Love Heart, one of Girard's most popular and well-known motifs, adorns the Coffee Mugs of the Home Complements collection. For this purpose the robust porcelain cups are manufactured in a traditional porcelain factory.
With 300ml capacity, the cups are ideal for a cosy cup of tea, coffee or cocoa.
