In 1995, the collaboration between Mårten Claesson, Eero Koivisto and Ola Rune gave rise to the multidisciplinary architecture practice Claesson Koivisto Rune. The studio works equally in design and architecture and quickly achieved success. In 2004, Claesson Koivisto Rune became the first Swedish studio to exhibit in the international section of the Venice Architecture Biennale.

Since it was founded, the Swedish trio has designed private homes, offices, restaurants and exhibitions for many well-known companies from Europe and the USA. The versatile studio also designs numerous home accessories. Claesson Koivisto Rune designed the Fluid pendant light for Muuto, and the Ballerina bowl by Skultuna is also the work of the three Swedes. Their designs are produced by more than 80 companies around the world.

Claesson Koivisto Rune has an excellent reputation and a long list of remarkable work. Each of their objects, whether a whole house or a small chopping board, bears their personal signature and stands out from other products on the market thanks to the studio's distinctive approach.

The design trio has received more than 60 design awards in a wide range of categories, such as Designer of the Year 2011, Furniture of the Year 2012 and the iF Product Design Award. In 2014, they became the first studio to win the Red Dot Award in five categories.
