Shaped by nature
Lars Beller Fjetland grew up on the west coast of Norway. The rugged, unspoilt landscape left such a mark on the designer that he developed a lifelong fascination with natural materials. In 2012, Fjetland graduated with a bachelor's degree from the art academy in Bergen, Norway. Since then, the Norwegian designer has been constantly looking for ways to broaden his horizons and create something new from classic materials. In 2013, he exhibited four of his new designs at the Salone del Mobile, which marked his breakthrough.
The fusion of functionality and classic natural materials also defines the Norwegian's design style: Fjetland creates furniture, lights and other furnishings from sustainable raw materials. Lars Beller Fjetland has designed for renowned design brands such as HAY and Normann Copenhagen, and has won numerous design awards since 2012.
