Collaborations with renowned designers

Louis Weisdorf (1932–2021) graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen, Denmark, in 1954, making him one of its youngest graduates. Over his career, he worked in many fields: graphic, interior and industrial design are among his credits, as are landscape and building architecture.

Equally impressive is the list of people Louis Weisdorf worked with over the years: Verner Panton, Poul Henningsen, Simon P. Henningsen and Le Klint are names known well beyond the design world. Because Weisdorf worked with so many pioneers, many of his own designs are influenced by the avant-garde of the 1960s and are reminiscent, for example, of designs by Verner Panton. Weisdorf's best-known design is the Turbo pendant light, reissued by Gubi.
