At the end of 2007, designers Nicholai Wiig Hansen and Lars C. Pedersen opened the design studio Wiig Hansen Design.
Nicholai: "We both contributed our skills in conceptual thinking, which come from two different backgrounds. But now we both have the same focus and the same goal."
Their core competence is design conception and product creation, and their strength is the ability to integrate product and brand strategies right from the design development stage. One of Nicholai's early designs is the PS Locker for IKEA.
The designers say of their philosophy: "We believe we are multifaceted, with a wide range and a lot to offer. We believe in clear, timeless and functional design. Design can be a work of art, but in our world it should go further than chasing a trend. We enjoy working with all materials and look more at the underlying basis."
