Northern – lighting, furniture and accessories with Nordic flair
Northern, formerly Northern Lighting, was founded in 2005 and has since grown into a small, dynamic company. It initially specialised in designing and manufacturing lighting under the name Northern Lighting. In 2018, Northern expanded its range and now also creates home accessories and furniture in a typically Scandinavian style. Always inspired by the distinctive character of Nordic nature, culture and society, Northern makes design objects for a wide range of interior styles.
The company works on projects and with retailers in more than 30 countries, while always remaining true to its core values. Northern is a young, enthusiastic, playful interiors company that creates atmosphere and brings Nordic design culture into your home. Its name reflects its origins in Norway, in the far north of Europe.
Northern acts as a kind of publisher for designers. Young, up-and-coming designers and internationally recognised names alike are responsible for several generations of design objects. Despite their different levels of experience, they all share one thing: a fascination with the atmosphere that well thought-out, beautifully designed furnishings can create. That's why Northern calls itself a "mood maker".
