Space Copenhagen, founded in 2005 by Signe Bindslev Henriksen and Peter Bundgaard Rützou, is an interdisciplinary design studio from Denmark that defies convention and brings a sincere, personal touch to its projects.
Its projects range from furniture and interiors for everyday life to exceptional design objects and art installations. Across these different disciplines, the duo aims to bring in their personal emotions and make every project and object truly one of a kind.
Space Copenhagen works with a wide variety of materials and shapes as well as muted tones that create an elegant, intimate atmosphere. Materials such as wood, stone, leather and brass also age over time, giving each design a living quality.
The studio's references include the interiors of renowned restaurants and hotels around the world, such as Restaurant KUI in New York City in the USA and the five-star Hotel d'Angleterre in Copenhagen in Denmark – and new high-profile commissions are continually being added.
