A Dutch outdoor brand
The Dutch company Weltevree was founded in 2007 by designer and entrepreneur Floris Schoonderbeek and makes innovative products in collaboration with established and up-and-coming designers. At Weltevree, the name says it all. Floris Schoonderbeek explains: "Weltevree stands for wellbeing ('wel') and contentment ('tevree') with your surroundings. Old Dutch farmhouses often bear this name. It's about a feeling of homeliness: the place where you simply feel at ease."
Weltevree products contribute to cosy surroundings and invite interaction. They only really come into their own when you use them, encouraging you to explore your surroundings and discover them in a new way. At Weltevree, the look is not the only priority – the experience of using a product is an integral part of every design.
Sustainability and durability are also key in developing the products, which are made from fair materials. That's why a transparent manufacturing process is just as important at Weltevree as design and innovation.
