Eva Solo – more than 100 years of quality home design
Eva Solo was founded in Copenhagen in Denmark in 1913 under its original name, "Kai Fog". The company achieved its international breakthrough in 1939, after Erik Mangor – the founder's nephew – became managing director. In the 1950s, the company first made products under the brand name "Eva", named after the managing director's daughter. Its bread and sausage slicer from 1952 became one of many design classics. Step by step, the collection grew. Following these successes, Erik Mangor and his son Johan introduced the "Eva Trio" brand, which was strongly shaped by the Danish industrial designer Ole Palsby and his minimalist design language.
In the mid-1990s, Johan Mangor took over the management and launched the "Eva Solo" brand to introduce a new lifestyle collection for the kitchen, home and garden – the brand on which the Danish company still focuses today. In 2010, the manufacturer was finally renamed Eva Solo. Eva Trio continues to stand for high-quality kitchen utensils and cookware.
