Ant - artistic chair design by Arne Jacobsen
The Ant Chairs by Fritz Hansen appear filigree and artistic, similar to the curves of a musical instrument. They were designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1952 and consist of nine layers of compression-moulded ash veneer. The elegant shape of the seat shell is reminiscent of the symmetrical body of an ant, while at the same time concealing its remarkable strength and comfort.
The design chair is available in many different finishes.
