The German designer Constantin Wortmann likes to play with the viewer's perception. His Cobra Collection for Georg Jensen acts dynamic and is a typical example for his transformation vision.
"The familiar silhouette of a conventional candleholder did I imagine with simple, organic curves." The result is a candleholder that seems to be melted partly whereupon it exudes a smooth vitality which is perfect through function as well. The object owes its name to its snake-like shape and power – Cobra.
Wortmann says:"The Cobra Carafe gives the impression as if it defies gravity, straightens up and floats". The original candleholder and the further products, which followed in the meantime, exude power and a snake-like liveliness. Particularly in combination with the further products of the Georg Jensen Cobra series, countless transformations can arise.
Its nearly 'flowing' expression gives the Cobra objects by Georg Jensen a dynamic presence in any area. Combined with its functionality, the Cobra objects become a stylish interior décor item as well as an elegant eye-catcher.
Next to different candleholders, there is also a Carafe available in the Cobra Collection by Georg Jensen.
