Bar stools with striking simplicity
The HAY About A Stool series features bar stools with a strikingly simple design. With it, designer Hee Welling has taken the combination of form, function, comfort, detail and aesthetics to a new level.
What makes this HAY stool series special is that About A Stool can be combined not only with other furniture but also within the series itself: the different seat shells and frames allow for numerous combinations. Whichever seat shell you pair with whichever base, the design always keeps its precision and aesthetic appeal – the bar stools never look random or unintended.
Hee Welling envisaged the About A Stool bar stools feeling just as at home in a restaurant or canteen as in the office, at a kitchen counter or around a conference table. Simplicity thus became the key to versatility and flexible combinations.
