Lyngby Porcelæn
The Lyngby Porcelæn porcelain factory was founded in 1936 and is located north of Copenhagen in Denmark. When the company ceased production in 1969, it had already earned a firm place in Danish design history. Its dinner services, vases and other design objects are instantly recognisable thanks to their bold, rational design, shaped by the German Bauhaus and the functionalism that was emerging at the time.
The Lyngby vase – a design icon
The Danish company's breakthrough came above all with the Lyngby vase, whose simple elegance made it a design icon of the 1930s. With the classic Lyngby vase, the company combines craftsmanship and advanced technology with first-class design.
Relaunched in 2012
In 2012, the Lyngby Porcelæn brand was relaunched and production of the popular Lyngby vase resumed. Today, the company's products are reproduced with great care and deep respect for their fine design heritage. As before, craftsmanship and quality are at the heart of the products, which is why every Lyngby product bears a stamp from Porcelænsfabrikken Danmark – Lyngby Porcelæn on the underside as a certificate of authenticity.
