Original 1227 Pendant Light

Timeless pendant lamp from England

The Original 1227 pendant light literally brings the 1227 desk lamp to the ceiling. The light can be used on its own or combined with other 1227 pendant lights to create a unique lighting design. The 1227 from Anglepoise combines unmatched functionality with a classic, timeless design and was created by British designer George Carwardine.

A design classic from England

George Carwardine’s 1227 lamp design remains unmatched to this day. In the 1930s, the British automotive engineer made use of a new type of spring. He developed a light fixture modeled after the human arm, adjustable without the use of screws.
The result, the Original 1227 Anglepoise lamp, combines flexibility and stability like no other lamp with its free-floating design.
The Original 1227 lamp is available in many different sizes, mounting options, and colors.
