Lounge Chair by Bodil Kjaer

In 1959, Danish architect and designer Bodil Kjaer launched a furniture collection for both indoor and outdoor use. She was commissioned to create a collection for the U.S. market that would draw inspiration from the architecture of the time and the natural elements of the garden. The result was clean-lined, streamlined furniture with a timeless look. Carl Hansen is now reintroducing this collection, which includes the BK11 Lounge Chair .

Made of solid teak with a sloped seat and backrest

The solid teak Lounge Chair impresses with its elegant and clean lines, exuding both warmth and precision. The seat and backrest of the lounge chair are sloped and consist of individual slats. They ensure a high level of comfort, which can be further enhanced with a matching seat cushion featuring a weather-resistant cover. The armrests, legs, and connecting struts form a square on both sides around the seat and backrest. These three components are joined together using mortise-and-tenon joints. The lounge chair pairs perfectly with the BK12 lounge sofa and the BK16 side table.
