ST04 Molar Side Table

Solid Wood Side Table

The ST04 Backenzahn side table is one of the best-known designs by Philipp Mainzer, who created a classic piece of wooden furniture that can also be found in various museum collections. The striking shape, featuring four tapered legs, gives the side table its name; its silhouette is reminiscent of a molar.

A One-of-a-Kind Piece Made of Wood

The understated form of the Backenzahn table highlights the unique quality of the material. Since each table is crafted from oiled wood, every piece is one-of-a-kind. “We take the wood as it comes, in all its beauty”—that’s the motto of e15 , where the side table—which has since achieved classic status—has been produced since 1996.

Materials

The “ e15 ” classic is available in two different types of wood: walnut or oak. Upon request, the side tables are also available with surfaces treated with wax or furniture oil. This makes the wood even more resistant to liquids, dirt, and other elements.

Stool or Side Table

The popular Backenzahn design by Philipp Mainzer is available both as a side table and, with a comfortable seating recess, as a stool. Whether as a stool or a side table, the Backenzahn captivates with its sculptural character—a guaranteed eye-catcher in any home.
