Legendary Minimalist Mobile

Today, and for the past 50 years, the name of the Danish Flensted family has been synonymous with the design of high-quality, innovative mobiles that enrich a space in exciting ways. The Science Fiction mobile was personally designed by Christian Flensted in 1956. It is one of the most popular products from Flensted Mobiles . What makes Science Fiction —aside from its design—is that it casts a spectacular shadow as soon as it’s illuminated by a light. Hang it Science Fiction it in a corner or in front of a wall and shine a light or a candle on the mobile—and it will immediately cast Science Fiction a wonderful and fascinating shadow. It resembles a moving planetary system. This brings us full circle to the mobile’s design, which—with its solid core and the rings grouped around it—draws inspiration from outer space and the fascinating interplay of planets and stars.
